Fenix 6X Titanium + SAPPHIRE (when can we expect it?)

Why hasen´t Garmin released this version of the Fenix 6X yet?

One thing is that the titanium arguably looks better, but if you gonna buy a watch for 1000$ you want to give it protection damn it! Must be a marketing-strategy from Garmin fearing the 6X Titanium+Sapphire would consume most of their other Fenix 6X versions (maybe the 6-Pro versions as well)?

But if I am missing something: Have Garmin revealed any news of the 6X T+S version? Have seen some mention december, but that is only far fetched speculation in my book.

You can't seriously expect an answer to this.

Garmin's product line decisions are trade secrets. Disclosing their plans before a product hits the street puts them at a competitive disadvantage.…

Exactly my thinking. And I'm a good example of a person going that way - I wanted 6X Sapphire Titanium non-solar so decided to go one size down.

Did you buy directly from Garmin, Amazon, or another website that I can check out?

I think I'm going to buy the same thing now and then when the 7x, 8X, or whatever they call it comes out next I'll buy that especially if it comes with the GG+.

My Omega seamaster is sapphire and it's held up extraordinary well to several years of abuse so I'm just hung up on the sapphire glass. I have the DLC on many of my hunting things and it holds up fairly well to light abuse.

Looks lovely - kind of like saddle leather. People have mentioned is softens up nicely with use.

Thanks. Bought one a few days ago, also interested to see if Suunto comes out with a premium product and what else Garmin rolls out in 2020.

It really should be the year of there wearables.

Samsung will roll out more product - I expect a ultra competitive ruggedized product from them with DX+ solar glass. If I were part of the apple ecosystem I would consider theirs but I've been Android or otherwise since the first smart phone came out. I expect also we will see other brands put out products, won't threaten Garmin high end, but competition makes the top brands better (like what Garmin learned from Suunto Traverse and others).

So I decided to get the 6x Saphire and add the titanium band as a compromise.
