Replacement link pins for the Titanium bracelet (6x Pro Solar)

The link pins are glued in with cyanoacrylate, I think. It is more than locktite. I got 2 screws out couldn't do the rest, took it to 2 jewellers who failed and messed up the screw heads. Eventually took it to a manufacturing jeweller who heated the screws up and managed to loosen them and adjust the band. Seems like you need a 1.5 mm flat head screw driver and a soldering iron applied directly to the screw. I will now put some blue Loctite on them.

Is there a way to get replacement link pins as the heads on the 4 that have come out are unserviceable?

I had similar issues with mine. Wound up using drops of solvent on the screw heads to loosen. I had damaged screws as well. I submitted a requested with Garmin for a couple replacement screws. I found…

I found out they don’t have or sell the screws. They wound up sending me a replacement band. FYI, it looked like the screws were set in place with blue thread locker so beware.

Dufy, what solvent works? Everyone I have spoken to says heat is the thing. Quite a wasteful solution but good customer service. I have submitted a request for replacement pins lets wait and see what happens.

Garmins aftersale is horrible and I am user so I don't hope I need anything from them beside hardware issues. They don't sell/have pinheads for the watches and for in my case it was for screws for my titanium band. I asked them because I needed a couple and there answer a simple no we don't have it or what kind of screws it are for a example.

Try brake cleaner. Spray some in the lid then dip the tip of the screwdriver into the solvent then on the head of the screw. Wait a few seconds for the thread locker to loosen then start unscrewing. You may need to reapply a few times as more of the threads are exposed. Take your time and they will eventually come out.

I have read that methylene chloride is the most effective agent, not sure what is in brake cleaner.

Looked at the MSDS for the brake cleaner I used. Methanol, Toluene, and Acetone are the primary components.
