Aeropex users

I emailed AfterShokz a few days ago about the problem with the volume up button not working with the Aeropex headphones on Garmin watches (it doesn't work on my 945 or my Fenix 6S sapphire).  The volume works perfectly with the AfterShokz Air.  They just responded with the following so at least we know that both sides acknowledge and are working on the problem:

Hello Linda,

Thank you for reaching out to me.  I'm sorry you all are having issues with the volume button.  Our company realizes the Aeropex are having issues with the Garmin. Both the Garmin and the AfterShokz teams are working on the compatibility issues.  If you email us for updates we should be able to get back to you with more information in the future!

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you,

Nadja

  • Not all Garmins have the problem. Aeropex worked fine (both volume up and down buttons) on my Fenix 5 Plus.

  • Thanks for posting this. I've just got myself a pair of Aeropex to be used with F6 and waiting for this combination to become functional eventually.

  • Good to know!  I've tried it only on my 945 and my Fenix 6S and both behaved the same.  It's promising to know that it's not affecting all Garmin like I thought.  I hope that means they'll figure it out soon.

  • What I'm trying to say is that the volume control from the watch has been broken in code version 4.10 and it's not AfterShokz AeroPe4x specific. Unless it's just quintessence that my Aftershokz Airs, Jabra 65s and and my Bose Bluetooth headphones all of a sudden can not control volume from the watch after version 4.10 firmware update/

  • I know about the problem with the volume control on the watch as a result of 4.10.  That is not AT ALL what I made this post about.  The topic of this post was SOLELY about the VOLUME UP BUTTON of the AEROPEX and how I had emailed Aftershokz about that problem and they responded to me.  I wanted other AEROPEX users to know that both Garmin and Aftershokz are working on THAT problem, not the volume control breaking on the watch itself.  I don't even care about that if the volume control works on my headphones.  I only brought up my Aftershokz Air because both volume buttons are working on those headphones so why aren't they working on the Aeropex.  Has ZERO to do with the volume control problem that the 4.10 update caused.  We are obviously not on the same page with this discussion.
