No playback of m4b audiobooks (loops only the first second)

Upgraded to 4.20 but still no correct playback of m4b-audiobooks (still only loops the first second of each file/book)

Anybody out there able to play them back correctly?

Upgraded to 4.30 today... still no working playback of audiobooks...

Upgraded to 5.72 today... still no working playback of audiobooks :-(

Is there anybody out there who has m4b-audiobooks playing back correctly on their fenix 6 pro?

**Garmin is aware of an issue with syncing .m4b files successfully to the Fenix 5 Plus Music. We are working on this issue and expect a fix to be available in a future Garmin Express update.

Presumably this is the same issue on the F6

Are your m4b files DRM protected?

No DRM protection as I've transferred them from 'open' mp3s myself...
All files play without problem on my Samsung phone.

Hi Thoimas, did you ever figure this out? I'm running into the same issue. It's not just looping the first seconds of a book, but within a book with multiple chapters (divided into separate files with Audiobook Builder to make Garmin recognize the chapters to help with navigation in lengthy books), it's just the first one or two seconds which are played. The player then immediately skips to the next chapter, where the same happens (2 seconds are played, and then it moves on again). 

I'm confused that it is possible to get the audiobooks on the watch, to have the watch recognize all the different chapters, and to get some sort of playback, but then to have it all be messed up because of the way it just keeps on cycling through the chapters. The strangest thing is that I'm having this issue with some audiobooks, whilst others have played back correctly. Cannot find any differences in extension (.m4b) bitrate (128 Kbps), sample rate (44.1 kHz), channels (stereo) etc. 

Would be great to understand the cause of this issue in order to figure out a workaround or solution. 

I have been trying to find a solution to this as well, but without any luck.

Hi, unfortunately not! Roamed around the web for some time after writing this post, and tried out many things, but never got any wiser. Eventually I’m afraid I gave up trying. Do let me know if you happen to find any solution please! Cheers
