How to do a soft reset?

hi,

i am sure i am simply to dumb, but how do i do a soft reset with the fenix 6?

with my fenix 5 i had to press and hold the light button and wait for the watch to turn off. on the fenix 6 the emergency alarm starts when holding the light button and i do not find a way to disable the emergency alarm. i am just asking because it seemed to be quite helpful to do a soft reset on a fenix from time to time - at least after a fw update.

It’s still the same process for the soft reset on the Fenix 6; despite the assistance alert screen appearing, just keep holding the button and it will power off without triggering the assistance alert…

If your watch is frozen and you are unable to use the watch, this process will walk you through getting it out of it's frozen state.

Performing a Soft Reset

Connect the device to a computer or power supply via charging cable
Press and hold POWER/LIGHT for 30 seconds or until the watch powers off
After the watch powers off press POWER/LIGHT to power the watch back on

If the watch fails to power on, leave the watch on the charger for up an hour and attempt the soft reset again.
