Unable to pair bluetooth headphones (Jaybird Vista) to Garmin Fenix 6X

Hello all,

I just bought a new pair of Jaybird Vista headphones to be able to run with my Fenix 6X wirelessly listening to music.

However, I am unable to pair these headphones to my watch. The headphones are not defective and work flawlessly with my telephone.

I've tried different methods so far, and all result in no connection to my watch.

Putting the headphones in pairing mode, searching for headphones via music, it will find my Vista's. But when I click connect my watch wiill be stuck in a screen that says "Searching for ?" for +/- 10 seconds and then give me a error message saying it is unable to connect to ?.

I've also tried connecting with Bluetooth turned off on my phone but the matter remains the same.

How can I resolve this issue? Other found headphones when searching are also named "?" when connecting, resulting in a failure.

I have Jaybird Tarah Pros and have seen this issue as well. I have found that resetting the earphones and cycling power on the watch resolved it, though to be frank I still get inconsistent connections.

I haven't any problems with Jaybird Vista and F6X solar.
Everything working perfect.

I have the Vistas also and had trouble pairing the first time also. What eventually worked for me was going into the main menu and removing them completely. Turned off and restarted the watch. After the watch restarted I setup the vistas in pairing mode first then added new device through main menu music then headphones add new. Worked for me. My favorite pair right now.

I've kept on trying, tried your solutions too.

What did the trick for me was downgrading my Garmin OS to 3.6 instead of the latest 4.1.

With this downgrade I was/am able to connect all bluetooth headphones, with 4.1 I wasn't able to connect any.

I got my vista with my 645. I got a lot of drop out first time and connection problem. Did you upgrade the vista firmware with the jaybird app? It fixed a lot of issues. When I switched to the fenix 6 pro, it works fine. The lastest vista firmware seen to have fixed issue when the Bluetooth switch left/right. Unfortunately, the fenix 4.10 firmware broke the control volume. I "fixed" it with jaybird app and changing the button control to put the volume control on a long press. Be sure it work fine before leaving for sport, otherwise, you cannot turn off the vista to reconnect if there is a problem without the case...

I have Sony WH-1000MX2 headphones, which I wasn't able to pair with my Fenix 6 Pro watch. Doing the pairing through the music app (Spotify) worked. Thanks for the tip!

I had same issue with my Fenix6, turn off/on fix it.

It seems your direction may have fixed my issues. My vistas keep connecting with the volume full blast and I cant adjust the volume through the watch. If this doesn’t work I may have to adjust the settings on the vistas
