Connect STRYD as BLE or ANT+

I just realized that my STRYD sometimes is found and connected via BLE, and when doing so it wont pass through power to STRYD Zones.

If it gets registered and connected via ANT+ all works fine.

How do I make sure that my STRYD is found by ANT+ (and not BLE) when looking for new sensors?

From 2-6:
Once the watch finds your Stryd, it should show as FP-xxxxx. The xxxxx is the ANT ID of your Stryd. Write down the number that shows up on the watch. We will need this later! Your Garmin may ask you to pair with FP-STRYD. No need not accept as this is a Bluetooth pairing that is not needed.

Okay, I figured it out. When I choose "Add New -> Search All" on the watch, the Stryd is found and connected via BLE automatically without any further options. However, if I pick specifically Footpod as a new sensor, I'm able to find Stryd both in ANT (as FP-xxxxx) and via BLE (as FP-STRYD). So I connected them both and disabled FP-STRYD then, to exclude it for the possible future adding new sensors occasions. When I did it I recalled that I did the same for the Wahoo cadence sensor. Since then it worked great.

Side related tip - If you're using the stryd power datafield then make sure you put your stryd ID in the settings optoin through the garmin mobile app. It keeps your stryd from going to sleep if your pace drops below the cut off limit for 5 minutes.
