Fenix 6s Pro Altimeter wrong by 50 meters

Hi,

I have tried calibrating my altimeter for more than 5 times in the past week. I have done it manually by entering my altitude above sea level from Google maps which is 57 meters. Every night I check the altitude and it goes way off from 90 meters to 15 meters. Anyone knows why can this be happening or how to solve it? I have the sensor settings to autocalibrate as continued during activity and not during activity to yes.

Any ideas? Do I need to update any firmware? I'm running on:

Software 3.0

GPS 2.5

Sensor hub 2.1

Ant ble bt 3.6

Ciq 3.1.2

WiFi 2.6

BMX 0.4.8

Whr 20.04.40

Thanks

  • It auto calibrates at night. I had same issues with  F5x Plus but Garmin said that if it is in 50 meters limit, it is ok. Later the altimeter and barometer stopped working and they replaced it. I would recommend you to contact Garmin directly, maybe they will help you or exchange it.
