Garmin connect update 4.23 crashes / fenix 6xpro / Samsung galxy s8

Hi,

just got an update from garmin connect forced through, renders the app unusable (samsung galaxy s8 / Fenix 6xpro)

Build ver 4,23 / 5080.

App shows prompt screen what watch to connect to, Then, in the background the Fenix 6xpro auto-connects (as displayed on screen), then app on mobile phone crashes.

Repeating message on watch: connetced / not connected / etc

So i killed bluetooth on phone for the time being...

Sorry of already mentioned, i searched the forum for the topic.

I cleared the cache (not data) in the android app setting -storage and cache area.. cleared the issue for me

Restarting watch /Phone didn't work.

Turning off/on bluetooth on watch (and waiting in between) did work. So far so good.

This is becoming a recurrent issue for me. Yesterday cleared the cache, all fine and done. This morning, crashes again. Cache clearing no fix today ;-(

Mine works fine as long as I tested it but it crashes when I enter Safety and Tracking menu and then common use of live event. I cleared cache and it still is crashing. Was not doing this in the previous version. I have both a Fenix 5X and a Fenix 6X Pro Solar Ti.

Android version 9 , Galaxy Note 9 mobile.

GCM v. 4.23

Anyone has the same experience? Is it going to be resolved in the next update of the app?

Common use of live event is the translation I did myself from the greek GCM menu. I now found out in the english version it is called Live Event Sharing. I used it very frequently after I bought my Fenix 6x Pro Solar Ti.
