Long Term Battery Life on your Fenix 6 device/

I only want to ask new users of Garmin Fenix 6 Sapphire for their battery statistics. I'm using Battery Widget from dsapptech and after 3 charge cycles I'm getting about 0.676%/h long term average battery consumption which is I think not very good. I'm using GearMin watchface with Allways-On heart rate and seconds.

  • Try a default watch face. Gearmin has a lot of data on the watch face.

  • I have a Fenix 6 Pro and am also a little bit disappointed about the battery. My Fenix 5 was lasting for about 14 days, with my new watch I am getting approx. 10 days. Still hoping that the firmware team will improve the battery lifetime in the next firmware updates. The watch is quite new so I am sure there is some space for improvement...

Im really please with battery life on mine so far. Getting 14 days with everything on, default watch face with seconds hand, including GPS+GLONASS and 1sec recording. Run 3 times a week, Sunday run is around steady pace 13 -18 miles. other two are around 6 miles fast pace.

  • Disappointed with a Fenix 6 pro battery compared to Fenix 5 here as well. Same usage, same watchface, and only 7 days vs 12 on Fenix 5.

I'm also quite disappointed.. coming from Vivoactive 3, used exactly the same watch face and I got about 7 days and now I'm getting about 4 days with 6S. According to the specs it should be better than VA3 but apparently it's not.

  • I have the 6x Sapphire after having the 5X and it is a huge improvement for me. I went 5 days, ran for almost 10 hours (GPS+Glonass w/1 second recording) and played 18 holes of golf for 3 hours. I still had 38%. Big improvement over the 5X!

  • Are you guys sure you don't have pulse OX running? I think it's turned on by default, and you have to go into the menu and turn it off. It's a massive battery drainer, and would explain why your battery life is so low.

When I have sleep OX tracking turned on, I lose like 5 days of battery life. When all-day OX tracking is on, I lose like 2 weeks of battery life.

  • If you are doing battery tests then in fairness you need to be using default Garmin watchfaces and settings. Otherwise how can you be sure the problem is Garmin’s and the not the ‘add-on’?

I am on default watch face, no Pulse-Ox and could not be happier with the battery life.

My last fenix5s can last for more than 10 days (WHR Bluetooth Activity tracking). This new Fenix6 can last for more than 3 days only (1%/h). Done everything i can to improve it (hard reset, create new account, try different  computer/phone to connect...). Sometime is looks good at the beginning after resetting then few days later battery drain again.

I am looking for return or exchange tmr  Disappointed

Please perform a full factory reset on the watch, install the battery widget and report back on your battery drain.
