Fenix 6 bluetooth connectivity distance?

I had my watch on in the garage, with my phone (OnePlus 7Pro) on the kitchen counter about 20 feet away. The 2-door refrigirator was in between the line of sight as well as 2 walls The watch would connect/disconnect every time i twisted my wrist so I think I was right on the edge. 

With bluetooth headphones, it works perfectly - way better than my iwatch3 or samsung galaxy watch (47mm), both of which would cut out bluetooth headphones if I walk with my wrists down by my side.

The F6 is using Bluetooth 4.2 and I believe the 935 is also using 4.2.  The rating is for about 10 meters indoors.  I have had the AW 3 and 4 LTE so I developed a habit of putting my phone on the counter when I was home and always was connected.  Early on with the F6 Sapphire I learned I could not do that.  Always losing connection in the house and sometimes I had to manually reconnect.  The biggest change is with the headphones.  I have the Jabra Active 65T, Tarah Pros, the new Jaybird Vistas and the AirPods 2.  I wear the F6 on left wrist and I have no music dropouts or crossbody fade issues.  All the headphones, except AirPods, are Bluetooth 5.0.  

Normally apple watch bluetooth distance is over 30~40 feet, even though there is wall. Hum.. I should consider about this. Thank you for your comments :)

Oops, You're saying that Fenix 6 is not good as 935. It's bad news. :(

No.  Not saying that at all. I believe they both are same Bluetooth chip. So both should work equally well or the same.  Apple does their own Bluetooth thing so very difficult to compare them to others. In theory for F6 and 935 they should perform exactly the same.

I have noticed the BT on my new F6x is not as strong as on my old F3. The F6x is limited to about one room apart in my house, whereas my F3 would go about two rooms apart.

Oh.. That's bad news. How about stability of BT connectivity when F5 is in range? (ex. keep connecting and disconnecting?)

The reliability of the connection has been good for me, but I use the excellent Android app "Reconnect Garmin Watch", which was very good dealing with BT reliability issues for my F3, so I just kept using it for my F6x.

I don't think the BT range is bad on the F6x, just not as good as the F3. It doesn't bother me, because when I need them to be connected, my phone and my watch are usually pretty close together (i.e. within 10 meters).
