Sapphire vs Gorilla Glass on the solar versions

Morning all,

I'm now looking at the 6x plus and had settled on a Sapphire model, but I have seen one with solar an a silver titanium band and bezel for not much more, but after reading a bit, it seems the solar versions do not have Sapphire glass, but gorilla glass instead. Is that correct? And, I know it's not an easy one to ask, but can anyone tell me if the glass on the solar models scratches easily, or can a screen protector be used and still get a solar charge?

As others have said this has been covered and very recently the community answered all my questions around the same subject area so I may be worth reading them.

I was choosing between 3 different F6 models, Standard, Sapphire, Solar.

My takeaway from the discussions was Solar is not worthwhile on the F6 plus you have the solar ring to look at that some people dislike. The glass on the standard model appears clearer than sapphire but some people complain about backlight colour. Sapphire has a coating that some people say scratches and the screen is less bright.

In the end I went for the Sapphire for the darker blacks, hopefully more scratch resistant screen and the more scratch resistant DLC coating, but that was just my own personal opinion and you really need to decide for yourself.
