I’d rather not pay for Runcasts
What I do is this (on PC) - this works really well:
Setup
I used Garmin Express and I found it to be quick and painless. Here's my workflow:
Mac with iTunes as my podcast manager. I fire it up and let it download the latest for about 20 min or so. I usually…
There is no, easy, way, and if there is, it’s 100% not Spotify. It can take 10 minutes to get a single podcast over to the watch with all the hoops you have to jump. And you have to have a paid subscription…
I forgot about that.
And, when you go to load your music, you have to have the connect app open. Regardless of the why, it really irritated me.
This looks like it would work with current podcasts. What about situations where you are at episode 96 of 215? It didn't look like you could set to work with those?
just use apple podcasts and garmin connect... its free and an absolte doddle to work!!!
I can't seem to get spotify to do playlists which is essential to me. I've got "daily news" "sport" and "everything else" as I like to prioritise my listening in that order. Kinda rules that out as an option for me. Which is a shame because the only reason I take my phone with me when exercising is to listen to podcasts. Would prefer to move that to my watch if possible, while still using my phone for them when driving / public transport, and my tablet for them when I'm home. I can keep my phone & tablet in sync easily enough, but yet to find an app that will sync with those two devices + my garmin watch, while also allowing me to have playlists.
This solution is free and pretty painless:
Any improvements to this? Or still the best way?
Very helpful.
Only one podcast comes up for me to download on Spotify how do i solve this?
I use Playrun.app now. I am hoping for a couple of updates but I am generally happy.
Syncing via WiFI is slow but this is not playrun.apps fault
I found a (kind of) easy way to circumvent the manual method on the watch (for Spotify). Browsing on the watch is terrible!. In Spotify; Create a playlist of the podcasts you want, using your computer or phone and add the playlist to your watch, om the watch. This enables you to browse on a better UI and only do few inputs to the watch.
Having struggled with this I'll simply say that MusicBee, by far, has been the best solution I've found. It's actually a pretty good podcast manager too, although it's UI is a little rough.
