Very sympathic - this is how we like the frenchies: English speaking forum and you reply in French - wtf
@9391586 sure it is ugly but if I have the chance to protect my 1k$ watch when mountain biking…
I can tell you one thing is for sure--for most folks these covers will cause more damage to the surface of the device then leaving them off. All trapped debris will rub around on the finish and cause abrasion…
..
That is an abomination.
The watch shattered, or the case shattered?
I can tell you one thing is for sure--for most folks these covers will cause more damage to the surface of the device then leaving them off. All trapped debris will rub around on the finish and cause abrasion and micro scratches. And in most cases the protector is not thick enough to distribute an impact widely enough to prevent dings, dents, shattered screens. This comes with experience being anal about this stuff and using protectors on watches in the past, and regretting it. Extreme conditions, job use, etc. notwithstanding.
Wrong. For sure. Had it at my 5x over a year. Looks like new device
Do you really think a double-sided flexible 3M tape does leave micro scratches? Sold my 5x for a bestprice, due to had it protected.
..
That is an abomination.
Yes, it is. I can‘t recommend any silicon case.
The carbon one from bikespot? Where did you bought it. 54 pound? How do you know that it was 54 pound ?
I assume he means 54 pounds (like the currency, not the weight).
I'm just curious if he meant the case shattered, or the whole watch. Because if only the case shattered, then that seems like it performed its job perfectly, being a sacrificial layer of protection (like a motorcycle helmet).
That's like getting upset because your tempered-glass screen protector shattered when you dropped your phone, even though the phone screen survived fine. Ya, that's what it's meant for, why would someone be mad that it did its job?
If you are going to put a plastic thingie on your metal watch bezel, why not just buy a plastic watch? It's both cheaper and prettier!
Yes, thats right. But my carbon ones from bikespot slammed against concrete and steel. But no scratches. None at the watch and none at the protector itself.
See above...because you can sell it for bestprice and have enough money for upgrade
