Just got a 6x Pro last week, but currently the watch as no ability to track my incline of 8 percent as I run/walk on a treadmill.
Any suggestions? Or should I return this for something different?

I get around this by simply editing the total vert climbed during the treadmill workout. Hopefully the treadmill you use keeps track, but if not, and if you use the same incline setting, then just do the…

I can't see how any watch can accurately track the incline of a treadmill. There's no horizontal or vertical distance covered. Something might be possible using the accelerometers/giro to detect body incline…

So your basically saying return it? Garmin isn’t going to change their watch for me.
If you absolutely need treadmill incline tracking today, and can't absolutely can't wait for garmin and/or the developers that OnlyTwo mentioned to update for this, and nothing else on your watch really matters besides treadmill incline tracking, then ya I guess you should return it
That’s what I thought. Disappointing but I guess back to Apple Watch I go. Again, thanks for the info.
Does the Apple Watch pick up the incline, or do you set it manually?
I can't see how any watch can accurately track the incline of a treadmill. There's no horizontal or vertical distance covered. Something might be possible using the accelerometers/giro to detect body incline relative to a horizontal datum but that's unlikely to be accurate.
It could be done if there was somewhere to input treadmill incline. Is there?
Certainly be interested to hear of any wrist watch that could do this without user input.
Even Garmin's running power which relies on outside sensors can't do this

I get around this by simply editing the total vert climbed during the treadmill workout. Hopefully the treadmill you use keeps track, but if not, and if you use the same incline setting, then just do the math afterwards.
Very helpful. Appreciate that!!!
Can Apple watch do this?
