Fenix 6s Battery Life is Terrible

Got the watch on Tuesday. Spent a few days learning about the settings. Full charge on Friday night, up to 100%. Short run on Saturday morning, 10% of the battery. Then, normal day with no other events. Wore the watch overnight, woke up to 53% battery.

I have Pulse OX off -- all the way off, sleep / daily tracking. I've turned off the seconds display. I'm not sure if there is anything else for me to mess with.

I had gone from the FR 230, to the FR645, and a brief stint with the Coros Apex (amazing battery, bad GPS / HR / Interface). I was really excited to get this watch as I met all of my needs. But I'm not keen on charging my watch EVERY day.

  • You are correct. I turned off Pulse Ox and it went from 9 days to 4 days. I turned Back on backlight to gesture after sunset not during an activity and it didn’t change it.

    • I don’t understand the Pulse Ox with it being OFF on the watch but ON in the app. Does one override the other? Obviously, if you have it off then it will not track it. I wish Garmin had an On Demand option like AW6 or would do periodic checks you could set during the day. Having On all the time or just during sleep is not beneficial.
  • Is not normal to have the wrist HR set to OFF.

    Is definitively something wrong.

Fenix 6X with Bluetooth on and Wrist HR on, pulse OX ON will get up to 10 days and with wrist HR OFF up to 19 days.

Contact Garmin or review your settings.

Yes. Settings in Garmin Connect will override the watch. Turn it off in Garmin Connect, sync and it should be off.

You can measure on demand by installing the Pulse Ox widget.
