Did I Get The Right Band With My 6X Sapphire?

I got it at BestBuy today and it came with a thin (not-ribbed) band with only 1 strap loop.

Is this the right band?... as it does not seem to be the same band as I see on the website.

I like the new ribbed bands so much I ordered a Sandstone variant

I prefer the extra security of the keepers on the ribbed bands.

I called Garmin and they said that these are the bands they are shipping with now.

Customer service reps don't necessarily have the best information, so I wouldn't automatically assume this statement to be accurate. Besides, the band in the picture you posted looks used. Is that how it came out of the box? Regardless, I would swap that out in a heartbeat to get a device with the proper band and not look back.

this one on picture is better than original from F6. Im very dissapointed how strap looks, it is like cheap china copy for 2 dollars.

I had BestBuy check another one in the store and it has the same band as mine, so I guess they Garmin changed the bands they are shipping with.

When I talked to the person at Garmin, I think she said that the early released devices came with the ridged bands, then they started shipping them with the flat bands.

I feel better now at least knowing that it is not a fluke.

My Pro Solar Titanium came with the "vented" titanium band and a bright orange ribbed band. I would have preferred black white or grey. Need to start buying more orange clothes. Here are 4 pix:

we should also get new design belt from garmin for free. I have orange too, it looks really cheap in real life.

I wonder if Garmin will give those of that got the ribbed band one of the flat ones for free? I can see why they replaced it, getting the ribbed band to go into the keeper is way more of a pain then it should be. I'm actually using the rubber band that came with my 5X since it works a lot better but wouldn't say no to another if Garmin is offering them up.
