How to get a Stopwatch with the local time displayed - Here are my little settings!

The Stopwatch function do not display the time but...

Actually I have found that little workaround on my Instinct which was the first of the Garmin's watch with some great "Clock" access but still with a timeless stopwatch.

Eventually I choose the YOGA Activity as it is not triggering the GPS chip and I rename it "CHRONO".

In this activity I have created a data screen with only two fields: Time of The Day and Timer.

I use that activity when driving a long trip for example.

Easy peezy lemon squeezy ! :-)

Great idea!

I will add that you shouldn't have to replace your Yoga activity to do this, I believe you can make a copy of the Yoga activity and call it "chrono" and retain the Yoga app. That is, if you actually wanted to have a Yoga app

I think you can choose not only yoga, but any activity...and set GPS -> none.

This is a great way to have Stopwatch and Time of Day at the same time. However, there is a small caveat in this approach, at least for me:

I have the Stopwatch configured as a hotkey (top right button).

I use this constantly, when I need a quick start of the Stopwatch.

Setting this App would increase my time needed to start the stopwatch considerably.

I hope we can eventually have both things available, Stopwatch + Time of Day in a hotkey ;)

This is a good idea BUT this should be a moot point as there is no reason why the time (especially with the increased size of the screen on the F6 lineup) shouldn’t be displayed. There is just wayyyyy too much wasted space on the Stopwatch:

Plenty of room for the Time of Day.

For those who may not already know, the built-in Stopwatch now shows Local Time at the top of the display:

Yes and this is a relief and a great thing for those timing a lot after... 3 year of asking Garmin ? ;-)

Also my "little setting" was battery consuming compared to the now great stopwatch with the time !! :-)
