Wrist and sizing advice

Hi!

Current 735xt owner, looking to move to either 945 or a Fenix 6 of some description. I'm wondering what I can 'get away with' though in terms of my wrist size, which is 16cm. I've attached some photos to help show this.

It's hard finding anywhere local to me which stocks the 945 or Fenix 6, but will keep hunting!

I have a 16.5cm wrist, so similar to yours, and my Fenix 6S fits me perfectly. In fact, the ends of the lugs sit roughly where my two wrist bones are. I once owned a 935 but always thought it looked too…

I have 160 mm wirst. I found F6S too small for my wrist. F6 regular size fits perfect.

Did you decide on which model in the end? I am in a similar position. My wrist is around 172mm. I had planned to go for the 6s for the reduced weight for swimming and running, but having at Fenix styling over the 945. However if the strap is a bit short tempted to go for the standard and hope I get use to the extra grams.

My wrist is 165mm, and I went with the 6X. Some might say it's too big for me, but I like it and that's all that matters a 6 or 6S might look more fashionable for my size wrist, but battery life and screen size made it an easy decision.

It's interesting seeing everyone's responses. They indicate that everyone sees this differently.

I have a 16.5cm wrist and I have always considered that to be slender. I have owned both the 6s and the 6. I liked how substantial the 6 felt and I really appreciated the extra screen space but for me, it was just too large. It's not just the width of it, but the height and weight. I felt like I was wearing a brick on my wrist. No matter how I adjusted the strap, it would bounce around uncomfortably on my wrist when running. I went back and exchanged the 6 for the 6s and for my purposes, the fit is about perfect. I actually like the fit and weight of the Venu (my wife has that one) best, but I'm not sure if I would rather have a Venu than a Fenix 6s.

I also have a 160cm wrist and I feel the 945 is a bit too large for it while the 6S fits me perfectly. But this of course is very much personal preference and some people with the same wrist size may consider the 6S too small.

I'm a 165mm wrist guy and loving my F6S Sapphire after 3 months. But I feel like I'm at the upper limit of the sizing for the included strap, which seems to be very much a ladies' size strap. Garmin now has a long version of the F6S 20mm QuiockFit band listed on their online store and I'm tempted to buy it just so I can put the silicone hoop around the side of my wrist to increase comfort slightly.

I also have 17cm wirsts and felt the same way about the F5S+ strap length. I've been using the 945 since it came out and am pretty happy with it.

However, I did try on an F6 at Best Buy and it felt better than any Fenix line watch I've ever put on and was just as, if not more, comfortable than my 945. Just waiting for Black Friday to see if there are any deals to be had on it.

Seconding this.

I tested out the F6 and F6x yesterday, right next to my Forerunner 945.

Even the F6x didn't feel "comically oversized" like the F5x did on my small wrist. Maybe it's the reduced thickness of the watch.

Dear all,

I amt between the descision FR 945, Fenix 6S Sapphire or 6 Pro Sapphire. I have an 160 mm wrist. Unfortunately the store didn't have the 6s Sapphire carbon gray in stock. I really like the design of the 945. What do you think?
