Is it possible to shut down WiFi

I really do not use WiFI and do not feel that I want it on. On the other hand Pro version has other features that I desire. Basic model does not have WiFi, but also does not have map.

Is it possible to shut down WiFI, like we are able to do with Bluetooth?

Someone will hopefully correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe that just by going into the settings menu under WiFi and setting the Auto Upload to Off, that effectively turns off WiFi.

Just don't configure a WiFi network.

I think it makes you configure one when you set up the watch on Connect, but either way you should be able to delete it later.

I didn't bother deleting mine, I have both my home and office wifi configured and it really doesn't seem to affect my battery whatsoever, as I don't use music on my watch. I think it just uses the wifi occasionally for updates, and that's about it. So basically once every few weeks, for a few minutes. Not really a substantial battery drain.

Also after a few days without syncing it will connect.

Maybe Garmin could add an option to dis-/enable WiFi...?

You can disable it with Philipshambrook's suggestion above, just delete the wifi networks from it and it won't try to connect via wifi anymore

In settings on the watch you actually have to ENABLE wifi for it to work so if you have not done that WiFi is not doing anything I assume. And as said before, just don't configure one, it's optional. Nothing to worry about, it's not consuming power if it's not activated.

What is true to now? I would like to have the wifi turned off, but remains usable upon request. I do not want to delete the Wifi configuration. How do I do that? Does this work in the menu via wifi / "automatic upload" disable?
