MacBook does not recognize my Fenix 6X Saphire.

I can charge my watch and I can connect to it via Garmin Express but just now I tried to update the sensor hub beta and my Fenix is not showing up as a folder to add the beta software. I was always able to do this in the past with my Fenix 5X. Any ideas or suggestions?

You need an app called Android File Transfer (you can get it from here: https://www.android.com/filetransfer/) to be able to see your watch as an external drive on your Mac.

Uses Garmin Connect.
You go to Training -> Routes then import Routes.
Then you just have to synchronize your watch.
If you want to do it manually
You need Android File and you put your GPX or FIT or TCX…

In Settings > System > USB mode, what is it currently set to? I believe it needs to be set to "MTP (Media Transfer)".

There is also a "reset" option in the USB mode settings, I'm not sure what it does but it might be worth a try.

maybe you need to reboot your Mac and try it again.

My system is set to USB Mode, It always worked before on my %x with iOS and MacBook. Never needed windows and I tried the reset to factory default. No difference, except I had to spend 20 minutes going through the Garmin connect setup again.

Use the Android File Tranfer APP. I try it and it works

I do not have access to Android. I use an iPhone X and iOS. I also do not have access to Windows, I use a MacBook

i am also. But Android File Transfer ist an APP for MAC OS. Try it. With this you can connect to the filesystem from the Fenix 6

Interesting. I had the same problem with my Mac using Garmin Express. I went through the Garmin posted troubleshooting steps which did not help. Didn't think about using Android File Transfer. Thanks.
