OHR when swimming

Hi,

today I did my first pool swimming session with Fenix 6X Sapphire and I was pretty curious how optical heart rate sensor works. Actually I was surprised how well it worked.

First I swam 1km without break, then 4x50 m higher effort intervals, then 4x50m lower effort intervals with breathing on my weaker side and then 100m cool down. Watch recorded my heart rate pretty good, even intervals, clearly seeing difference between higher and lower intensity intervals.

It does work well, I also use the Form Swim goggles with the AR display. That along with underwater MP3 player and I can swim laps for an hour, no problem with boredom.

Did the swim count in training load and GC intensity minutes?

Do I need to enable OHR somewhere before go swimming? Min HR chart showed a gap (missing data) every time I start my swimming.

Go to the Settings -> Sensors -> Wrist Heart Rate -> While on Swimming, and turn it on

Very turgid pool swim this morning with a 945 on l wrist and F6 on the right. F6 is pretty good and very close to what I would expect my HR to be. The 945 is definitely reading high.

Yes I have enabled it but still no data. I just found out today that it is deactivated by the Power Plan setting in Swimming mode. Now I have what I’m looking for. Thank you

I'm now a believer! This morning's swim. The recorded HR is consistent with my workload and close enough to my manual checks -

I'll have a Marq recording for comparison later.

1st try with my new F6P in the pool. as best as I can tell- HR was spot on! unfortunately- it doesn't work for me at all when running.
