Fenix 6 silver Garmin pay passcode prompt

The Garmin Pay (Fenix 6 Silver, FW3.0) is always asking for passcode, even if the OHR/sp02 are on, and watch is snug on the wrist.

As far as I read on the Garmin site, if you have ohr on, and you keep it on your wrist, it asks for passcode once 24 hours, and always when is not on the wrist.

Mine asks for password every time, not immediately after I use it, but after one or two hours when I want to use I get the prompt. I know it's security but I am not sure this is how it supposed to work.

How is your experience with this?

Same. Quite annoying. Asks everytime even though it is set to 24 hours

Exactly the same for me. Pain in the ass. Makes it much less secure when you have to input your passcode in the queue and the guy behind you can see your passcode. Please sort it out Garmin!

I had the same issue on my Fenix 5 Sapphire Plus. I've reported it through multiple channels (bank, customer support, this forum) and Garmin doesn't care nor even acknowledge it. They must be aware of this issue but haven't fixed even in the latest premium watch. I'm going to complain on my watch one day.

If you care about this feature (as I do) pls let Garmin know.

I have the same issue.
Everytime i want to pay, i have to enter the passcode (several times a day).
I do not take off my watch and HR works fine.

Is there a solution meanwhile?

I'm going to test this, just entered my pin.

Is your heart rate recorded solid thought the day or are there gaps?

Edit: 4h later still no pin needed on F6 Pro

I never had this problem on my Fenix 5x Plus or now with the Fenix 6x Sapphire, so I guess your watch is loose on your wrist.... but look at your heartbeat diagram in Garmin Connect if there is a periode that the watch doesn't register a beat??

Seems solid for me.
For instance, during this period (see screen above), i had to enter passcode several times.
Also a watch reboot did not help.

Odd, but it might be just a short loss of heart rate that triggers the pin, let me try.

After 4h hours of normal daily routine I was still able to access without my pin.

Then I pulled my watch up slightly, for 6 seconds, until the green flashing stopped, after that I had to reenter my pin.

Tried again, lifting it off for 1 second (green flash changed its rhythm), also had to reenter my pin.

So I guess its very sensitive and such a short period of no recorded heart rate wouldn't show up. Even someone who pulled your watch fresh from your wrist isn't going to pay anything with it. :D
