How does look Fenix 6 Sapphire - Carbon Gray DLC on the hand?

Here's the Carbon Gray DLC next to the Forerunner 945.

I'm looking for Sapphire too, but the screen seems darker than Gorilla Glass. Maybe outside this picture it's more relevant in natural light / sun.

It will appear darker because the Sapphire reflects light much more than gorilla glass does.  Which is also why you see a bit more glare in the picture above.  Though in the direct sunlight it won't be an issue much, only on an angle.  

The Sapphire screen is definitly a little harder to read. However, I prefer the sapphire. The Gorilla Glass isn't as strong as advertised. I managed to scratch my 945 on DAY ONE. So if you buy non-sapphire you'll be sticking a tempered screen protector on there which also darkens the screen a bit... unless you baby your watch.

Whenever I’m buying a good watch (in this case I bought the F6 Sapphire), if Sapphire is available, then I’ll buy it as I want that comfort  knowing that it will be ok under most circumstances.

A lot of the time, these watches are used in the gym (lots of light) or outdoors. I’ll take a slightly darker screen for to overcome my OCD and avoiding scratches on the screen.

It's crazy how different the carbon gray DLC bezel looks under different lighting/photo conditions. It's a little tough to get a good read on how dark or light the color is from pictures on the internet.

I have one now, but I assumed it was even darker than it actually is based on pictures I saw online. 

I popped into a store to look at the Fenix 6S Sapphire with carbon grey DLC bezel so I could compare it with my F6S Pro Black. I actually really like the carbon grey DLC. It has a beautiful silver lustre and definitely stands out  more. I may have to exchange, but I’m still unsure about the clarity and contrast of the sapphire glass.

I bought the 6X PS Ti and I am not completely sold on it for some reason.  I like it but it's such a difference from the fenix watches I've had in the past- all black or gray titanium.  I picked up a 6X sapphire with the gray dlc bezel and I think it looks amazing.  It does kind of change colors in different light and at different angles.  I like the way it looks like a lighter, dull silver, in some instances.  Not sure what I'll do.  I've always been a huge watch guy so I might keep both.  But I also love my current 5X Plus Titanium.  Decisions, decisions
