I'm switching from a suunto 9 baro to fenix 6x :-)
In my suunto while on activity I can easily turn on the screen light forever. I use a lot training only when I train in the night
In my fenix I know that I can turn on gesture/altert/button before the sunset while on activitybut there is no option to be always on before the sunset.
It is possible to do what I want using some trick while on activity?

Set activity options for keys to "after sundown" and time limit to "not limit", sounds like thats what you would like.
That works perfectly, just got mine configured like that. During activities after sunset, light stays on the whole time; the rest of the time, the light only comes on for 8 seconds when I push a button.
A cool feature of the "no limit" time setting for after-sunset workouts, is that you actually can manually turn it off using the Light button. And then if you push the light button again, it stays on indefinitely again. The light button becomes a light switch 
I'm sure leaving the light always on is terrible for battery life, but I don't care because I rarely do any activities after sunset, so it shouldn't affect my battery life much at all. I've also turned my light down to 10% (from the factory default 20%), and it's still plenty bright.
