Fenix 6 Sapphire Screen Issue

Can people please check their screen and let me know if they are experiencing the same issue I am seeing on my new Fenix 6 Sapphire? If you look just below the "i" of Music Controls you can see a darker area. It is very noticeable on a white background, particularly with the backlight on. It appears to be under the glass.

For a $999 watch I'm obviously not happy, and will reach out to the vendor, but wanted to see if anyone else was seeing the same issue?

@ Garmin-Heath, can you tell me if the blueish tint to the white background in TheSalamander's pic is normal for a F6 Sapphire? I've seen other F6 Sapphire pics where it appears much more white.…

It's clearly a defect, there's also a overly white spot under the R. (Could be the image, but yea, RMA that)

Thanks. Vendor has agreed to RMA, just have to wait for them to get some more in stock. Disappointing Quality Control from Garmin but at least the vendor experience is positive.

I'd say this isn't really disappointing QC from Garmin. QC doesn't ever check EVERY device fully. What happens is, there are basic checks "does the system power on, can a screen be seen" but they never are done on every device. No assembly line can handle that level of Scrutiny.

QC typically has a random device pulled to make sure that everything tends to work correctly. There is typically QC done by a vendor on each part that is sent out, they check to make sure the device shows a screen or something like that. In an assembly line especially most automated ones today, occasionally you will have a bad screen that happens from the way the glass is fused to the screen, but if they were to try to check each and every device it's not going to happen.

On my 6X Sapphire I have a small darker little shade too, but not enough to be bothered by it, it is located in the lower right corner of the screen. It is not as visible as yours, but it's there. I've noticed on my former 5x Plus the same thing, but again, it's not bothering at all.

Now that I remembered, on the Fenix 5 was the same thing and NEVER had any issues with that screen at all because of it.
