Widget Glances: On or Off ?

Just curious to know if there is anybody who still prefers the conventional full-screen widget loop as opposed to the new widget glances?

As you may already know, you can enable / disable glances in widget settings. When disabled, you’ll see the familiar full-screen widget loop when pressing the up / down buttons from the watch face.

There's no way I'd go back to the old full-page-only widgets, the new widget glances feature was one of the top selling points for me

Depends how it works, I usually have a month calendar widget, that wont work as a small version.

If you click the top-right button on any widget, it opens the classic full-page version of that widget.

Yea thats one more click, maybe its ok if the F6 is much faster than the F5, with the F5 speed that wouldn't work for me. I will test as soon as the widget is available. :)

I didn't have a 5, so I'm not sure what you mean by "faster". Clicking the button makes the widgets scrolls instantly, and clicking the button to open a widget also opens it instantly - there's no delay or lag.

I had a Vivoactive 3 before, and definitely the widgets were pretty laggy to scroll through, maybe that's the speed you're referring to. I think you'll probably like the responsiveness of the new widgets in the 6.

For me it depends on how you use widgets. If you have a widget you frequently use and have it configured to appear first in the widget loop, you expect it to give you the full screen view so you can access all of its data instantly. For this scenario with glances you have to press an extra button from the glance to start the widget in full screen. The worst for me is that you need another button press to exit the full screen and return to glances, you cannot just merely push the up or down button from the full screen to move to the next widget.

But it is good that they added a setting so that the user can choose the preferred style.

Ok, being able to also scroll through the full screen widgets if open should be a feature request.

I don't think that would be possible, because some of the native widgets have been optimized to use the up and down buttons for internal scrolling inside the widget, meaning that it will scroll between views for that specific widget.
If you disable the glances, you will find that for the same widget, you have to press start in order to access those same pages.

So technically I don't think it will be possible to scroll between widgets once you've opened a full screen widget from a glance.

Of course its possible, it works just now on the F5 to scroll through widgets, to get into the widgets pages scrolling you just press one more time, no reason to not handle it like this anymore.
