Those of you who purchased the F6, I'm curious how do these compare to the Marq series. They appear to still be less expensive with even Solar introduction.

It's an interesting question and one that is easily answered. Why do people pay $10K for a Swiss Automatic when you could get all the features in another watch for $500?
The fact that you are asking…
Frankly, the top of the line 6X is a solid improvement over even the most expensive Marq. The 6X has longer battery life (GPS is advertised as possibly being 2x longer), a larger display, a lighter case…
I was very disappointed with Garmin and how they released the MARQ only to turn within months (of when available) with the F6. The MARQ should have got the larger screen and best features.
Sold my MARQ…
I think f6+945+MArq is the same and battery manager+picepro will be added later to 945
In some ways? Yea, they are the same. My understanding about the MARQ is they tend to be more hyperfocused on their individual task whereas the F6 is more a jack of all trades.
MARQ is full titanium case, F6 is composite fiber reinforced. The 6 and 6x have larger, higher resolution screens than the MARQ as well.

If i was a Marq owner, i would be pissed that a new series came out that has much better features, at half the price.

That figure for the MARQ includes the weight of the link band which the Ti Solar version doesn't in it's weight figures.
F6
MARQ
So the plastic body of the F6 is indeed lighter than the all TI case of the MARQ. No shock there.

I doubt anyone is that upset. The MARQ is aimed at a somewhat different customer or use case than the F6. Personally the F6x makes a very nice day to day watch and the MARQ is my choice for business or other more dressy use.

Sold my MARQ Athlete and got a F6 Ti which actually looks nicer than the Athlete in business cloths IMHO. The MARQ would have been amazing if it got a 1.3/1.4" screen......
This right here is what I mean. When they were released, I was drooling over the Marq line, and thinking about saving up to splurge on one. But I figured the 6 was coming soon, so I would see what it brought.. and this is my point. The 6x Pro Solar has more features, better screen, and is at LEAST 500 cheaper than the CHEAPEST Marq.. by waiting, i got a better watch at less cost. If i had done my original plan, i would have been seriously pissed my "luxury" piece was outclassed so badly by the mainstream line
I was looking at buying the Marq Expedition or F6 Pro Titanium / F6X Pro and I was going to post the same question!
same GPS chip
F6 ti has a larger screen (1.2 vs 3.2mm) (240 vs 260 pixals)
F6 has a better battery (12 vs 14 in smart watch) (28 vs 36 hours in GPS mode)
F6 ti is cheaper (1,549.00 vs 2750)
Marq is 1mm smaller diameter and 0.5mm less thick
the winning? IMO the F6 Pro Ti...... am I missing anything?

The fact that you are asking that question means you were never the intended audience for the Garmin Marq.
I disagree, they are the same brand and you cannot compare a Swiss automatic watch to a Casio G-Shock. At the end of the day these are techno watches. Where you expect something more from a higher priced item that is released with months of each other, not less.
After looking into the specs, I'll be buying the Fenix 6 Pro To with a custom leather strap.
