Garmin Nylon straps anyone? How is quality, weight etc.

Hi,

so how do the new nylon straps compare to other Garmin straps? How do they compare to nylon straps from other watches/manufacturers?

How light are they compare to Garmins silicon/leather straps?

I'm not sure if to get one of those for my 6S! I want a nice, light Garmin strap for everyday use for my 6S! It should be as light as possible. And third Party straps for Quickfit often have bad reviews. I don't know which one to get. For the 6S you don't have a lot of options when you want a light, possibly black 20mm Quickfit strap!

But they are sooooo expensive for a nylon band.

The rubber band that came on the 6 is 24g, the nylon band is 25g. The rubber band from my 935 was 23g.

I like the looks of the nylon band but it seems a bit stiff and no stretch. So it won't be as snug…

I like the looks of the nylon band but it seems a bit stiff and no stretch. So it won't be as snug and likely won't give the same HR accuracy. For an every day band it'll work great. I wouldn't use it during activities though.

I had bought a nylon strap for my Galaxy watch (22mm)
and thanks to the spring bars on this new version of the Fenix I have adapted it directly on my 6.
It's a zulu band in two pieces which cost me 18 euros. It would be easy to find a quality nylon band in 20mm too.

The silicon band is lighter than the nylon from garmin? Well that's that. Sniff and quite heavy for Nylon is not what I want. A little disappointed.

For the 20mm Quickfit there is almost no selection of third party bands and I don't wanna play around with some not quick fit band. Quickfit is so easy to put on and remove.

Do you maybe have a photo of wearing it or of the nylon band on the watch. In reality it always looks different then on marketing photos.

I wish Garmin would release Sport loop bands for the watches.

Thx but I just wanna use Quickfit, is so comfortable. The quick release f.e. wasn't so comfortable depending on the band.

I've used nylon straps on my other Garmins (Fenix 3, 5), and had no issues with accuracy. The softness of your arm is enough to ensure that you have good contact for the HR sensor, regardless of whether the strap stretches. In my experience, to get the silicone strap to stretch at all, you have to really overtighten it.

I strongly discourages the garmin black bracelet (99.99 euros in France), after 2 months, the end of the bracelet makes stuffed animals, and it becomes more and more difficult to introduce into the 2 loops. A scam at this price
Avoid this bracelet unless you need it only 2 months

Could you please share a photo to see what damage are you talking about? I am using the nylon black band for about a month now every day, except when working out, and it doesn't show any kind of damage or wear so far. Thanks.
