Yes, something is going on, but I don't know exactly what. This morning, as is my habit, I casually compared the displayed time on my 6X Pro with my time reference and saw the same thing you did -…
Sync using GPS does not correct displayed time.
Again this morning, my fenix 6X Pro was displaying time about 10 seconds slow. To correct this, I tried the following:
1. Sync with Garmin Connect Mobile…
For Pacific region as well? I read somewhere that beta release isn't compatible with watches sold in APAC region.

Beta software currently available in this forum is NOT applicable to APAC version watches. Sorry.
Mine was off by -3 seconds before the update, still -3 seconds after update and GPS sync. Dropped to -2 seconds after sync w/ Connect Mobile. Compared to both my phone and time.gov website, which are within a half second of each other.
Not that I care about 2-3 seconds (I don't), just reporting my findings.
Former Member APAC applies to watches sold into China etc, not Australia, New Zealand. However, it is still possible to end with an APAC watch when shopping online.
For me, after update to V4.63B I have -1sec GPS synchronization error. Not bad, but still not perfect. Try to use some default garmin watchface instead of CIQ ones from store, because factory watchfaces are far faster and battery less consuming.
I agree, such a technologicaly advanced watch SHOULD BE ACCURATE! - It loses all integrity because how can we trust all the other data it provides. My old (thats 25 year old) Casio keeps better time even tho it doesn't have GPS etc.
If Garmin are following posts such as this one what do they have to say ??
Why should we have to search blogs and forums to overcome such issues?
Hello,
It has been a year since this discussion but the issue of seconds not syncing with a paired phone remains. Well, I am satisfied though with precision of GPS sync, I do not bother if there is 1 second difference with the atomic time. However, here is a question, I would very much appreciate if you could share your knowledge in this regard.
If my understanding is correct, to have it synced with GPS, the watch has either to be in an activity mode, or I have to perform the GPS sync manually. Is there a possibility to have an automatic GPS sync several times a day with a watch not in the activity mode?
I know, it is not a problem to press a couple of buttons for GPS sync every morning before leaving from home, but well, as some of you wrote, you expect more from almost a 1000 EUR watch. I used to have radio-controlled Citizen and Casio, they well synced with the atomic time and were precise.
Thank you!
No, there is no automatic synchronization at intervals. But you don't have to press multiple keys to start synchronization. You can set up a hot key. Then just one press of this button will start the time sync.
Thank you very much for the prompt reply.
I just have set up a hot key. Really convienient. Thanks for a good advise!
