Hello,
Can anyone with a Fenix 6 tell me the exact distance between the strap lugs ?
It seems to be a bit smaller than on the Fenix 5 but I'd like to be sure.
Thanks !

could someone with a 6X please measure the diameter of the housing (top/bottom - not left/right) and the outer distance of the lugs?
i have a fenix 5 and now a fenix 6 - the fenix 6 looks noticable smaller…

Need to borrow Bandit background. Was looking for some grid paper but don't have any. Crappy cell phone pictures attached. If i get a chance to setup something a little easier to show the differences …
Just to make my question a bit clearer this is based on DC rainmaker's observation on the 6S (picture below)
I am wondering if it is the same on the "standard" 6.
my guess, DCR's showing it on a F6S because it shows more clearly than on the other types
owners do chime in
looking at the back of the others you see a flattened casing at the strap lugs

From reading DCR's review it seems pretty clear to me that the change was only on the 6S. Under the changes he lists:" Reduced ‘lug to lug distance’ on Fenix 6S: This should help those with smaller wrists, more on this later" I should have my 6X tomorrow and can compare it to my 5X then.

am not native English, perhaps wishful reading from my part
from the old Fenix 5
from DCR's review
Now what’s actually notable about the Fenix 6S in particular is that the lug to lug distance has been reduced. You can see it most clearly in the below photo atop the blue Fenix 5S Plus unit. Notice how the white lugs (where the straps connect to), are significantly smaller:
DCR talks about lug to lug distance in relation to the smaller lugs themselves
note that the lug pin moved inwards being enabled by the flattened casing (hence shorter lugs)
yeah, let us wait for the comparison(s)

Those lugs and screws on the old F5S watches really do look atrocious when compared to the new one. I actually used to have a 5S and 5S+ before trading in for the 5+. I actually found the 5+ to fit better and look better on my wrist because of how big the 5S/5S+ lug distance is.
Was just watching another review/unboxing video and found a lug comparison in it! It does look like the F6 lugs are a little shorter. See at about the 3:11 mark of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXnyLD2UDK0

i have a fenix 5 and now a fenix 6 - the fenix 6 looks noticable smaller on my wrist. because i have not the largest wrists, the fenix 5X was to big for me. but perhaps the 6X suits me better now!?
i measured both watches...
fenix 5: housing = 47,3 mm / lug to lug = 57,5 mm
fenix 6: housing = 46 mm / lug to lug = 53 mm
thank you!

Thank you for the measurements
Bandit , good idea...a plus point going for the X version
NYanakiev7, nmyeti, Oldenburger care for a measurement ?
