DLC/Titan models and weight question...

Hi,

so specs of the last generations of Fenix Titan models always states about 10-13g lighter casing. And also for some models of the Fenix 6 line it shows lesser weight too.

My question, the Fenix 6S Saphire black also states DLC Black coating, which should mean it is of titan as the specs say 3 materials of 6S: steel, titan, dlc titan.

Could this model be lighter than the normal stainless steel model? The specs only state one general weight for the 6S steel lineup! Nothing about the DLC version. DLC coating version would mean it's of Titan, doesn't it? The Saphire/DLC coating version costs 100€ more than the non Saphire Pro version.

I love the Fenix S models but the Fenix 5S a long time ago was really heavy so every 10g saved would be amazing.

I can tell you for sure what I measured:

5x+ Saphire 98gr

6x pro solar 83 gr

it feels on my wrist!

to me the solar glass is more transparent than saphire, I think it has as well an anti reflex coating…

there are definitely models with DLC steel bezels, and it doesn't say what material the carbon grey 6S and 6 are - but probably not titanium, given the pricing.

OK, so I checked it on the US site which has better and different specs than the German website. This site states only SS and DLC SS. Now I checked all the different 6S images of the back of the watch where I found the material being written on the back and I wonder why the Roségold black with Nylon which obviously looks like SS states Titanium on the back of the watch. Weird.

So the normal 6 Titan casing only weights 5g more than the SS 6S with it being much bigger and thicker. Why don't they make one model of 6S made of Titan for people wanting a lighter watch?

So what is the lightest strap you can buy? I guess the Nylon ones? But they are stupidly expensive for a Nylon band.
