Our engineers have indicated this concern should now be resolved. This was a fix on the backend with the Golf app. You will need to sync a new file for this. So upload a scorecard…

Hi. Only played 1 round since I fixed this. Playing again in 2 days so hopefully the issue doesn't pop up again. I noticed that from the Garmin golf app, if I tried to sync my phone (the circle with the 2 arrows) it wouldn't spin or sync.
Deleted the Garmin golf app from my phone, reinstalled it, logged in, synced with my watch, and then it worked
I am having the same problem. When you deleted the Garmin Golf App and reinstalled it, did it remember all your previous rounds, stats, profile, etc?
I’ve just encountered the same issue as OP, virtual caddy not working, just showing “!” and ‘ask caddy’ returns an error. I deleted and reinstalled the Garmin golf app (all previous data restored as I assume it’s stored in Garmin’s Connect servers, not locally).
Will have to wait for the next round to see if it worked.

Our engineers have indicated this concern should now be resolved. This was a fix on the backend with the Golf app. You will need to sync a new file for this. So upload a scorecard with shot data, or edit any clubs in your My Bag in the Garmin Golf app.
Please feel free to test this again, and let us know if this continues to be a concern.
Wrong clubs being displayed is a concern that is still being investigated.
