Epix Pro 2 (gen2) sleep tracking is crap!!!!

When do you fix sleep tracking issues?

It's the worst sleep tracking I ever had.

Even my old Mi Band 2 for 20 bucks was mauch better than this crap!

My old galaxy watch 4 was great in sleep tracking.

The Epix tracks a light sleep when I am sitting on the couch. The Galaxy watch never did that.

A 20 bucks Mi band 2 could do much better than a 1000 bucks garmin Epix Pro (gen 2).

Why???????

  • That's true. Garmin's sleep tracking is far from being state of the art. Companies like Apple And Oura show that accurate sleep tracking is possible, but Garmin is just not there. Appalling for the price point they ask for their watches imho. I'd really wish they'd do something about it.

  • Thank you for you personal experience. This really contributes to a constructive and objective discussion. We are deeply disappointed to see you go...

Please share your data and comparison to the gold standard!

Btw I went running with my Oura and I didn't track anything!!!

  • As long as they think it is working well (and they still do), they will not fix it.

  • most of the posts here in forums is nonsense really. You attack your garmin watch without provide evidence or if you have tattoo etc etc. My garmin from fenix 5 never had any problem with sleep compared to other trash watches out there.

  • Even if you disregard most of the posts, there are still plenty that clearly show unreliable and inacucrate sleep tracking for quite a number of people. Just look at latest big sleep feature: nap tracking - numerous issues with it making it useless and couterproductive.

The fact that it works for you does not means it does not work for someone else.

  • it works for me and 6 people i know with similar models.

  • It does not work reliably or me and 2 other people I know. Sometimes OK, sometimes way off.

  • The fact that it doesn’t work for some doesn’t mean it doesn’t work for others. Too many individual factors involved to make a blanket statement that sleep tracking is poor overall.

  • By the way, I don't have a tattoo! Also, my skin is white, so pigmentation should also not be a problem.

It's nice for you that your Garmin works well and I am happy that it works for you.

But, please accept that there are people who have problems with their watch.

Do you have an Epix Pro gen 2 or do you still use your fenix 5?

When you are still using the fenix 5 it is by the way interesting to claim implicitly that people who own the Epix pro and have problems with it are using the watch wrong or have issues like a tattoo etc...

  • I have test most of the garmin watches and never had any problem in sleep and in latest feature naps. Btw still i can't understand what is your actual problem. Accurate sleep? Or no record at all?
