Epix Pro Watch Faces available to Epix Gen 2

Dear Garmin team,

please consider making the native Epix pro watch faces available to the less than a year old Epix Gen 2. This wouldn’t be totally different from what you did with the Hill Score, jet lag, and overlay maps - which are fantastic additions and I appreciate tremendously. But the watch faces are fundamental to the user experience of the +$1000 that I paid for (Epix 2 Sapphire here!)

There is absolutely no technical reason why they are not available: the amoled screen has the exact same screen resolution for the 47mm size. Even Apple creates new native watch faces for models that were launched years ago!

even if you recommend your users to download watches faces from the Connect IQ… you know that these are a battery drain and the user experience is absolute trash.

please consider this feedback as you progress in your continuous software development and upcoming beta versions.

Well, it was released on January 18, 2022. Nonetheless, I would also like some of the requests you're making.

right, a year a change. Still stands… product cycles are now super short with marginal updates between models. There is not a single reason to not make watch faces available across all Epix models - it’s a luxury watch that people have paid a ridiculously high premium for.

1 year, 8 months is not a year and change. Actually, closer to 2 years. But like I said, I don't disagree with your requests. Asking for it here will not amount to much, submit it via the Garmin ideas site.

Let’s start with the easiest: the idea that one would pay extra for a watch face that drains your battery or slows your watch down is hilarious.

as for your listings… I understand the why (you don’t wanna be sued), but why would I pay to have a watch face for knock offs of Omega, Tag Heuer, or Rolex? Isn’t this obvious to you? Pay $1000 for a watch from Garmin and install a Rolex knock off watch face?

Garmin should do a better job at keeping Connect IQ free from stuff like this - it does nothing to advance the customer experience nor is it in line with the price Garmin is asking consumers to pay (at least Fenix/Epix/Tactix lines)
