HRV Status data have gaps since 11.28

Since the v11.28 update, my hrv status data have huge gaps. There are huge missing part on the graph in both the Connect App on my phone and on the Garmin Connect webpage as well.

Is there any workaround or when a fix is expected?

With that bug this feature is sort of useless or missleading since it is not using the correct data for calculation...

  • That hasn't happened to me, BUT measurements like yours should defininetly not factor into the HRV Status calculation. They should be labelled as "not enough data" or something.

  • Same problem here! Any solution?

  • My data is even worse than this. Was there ever a fix?

  • AFAIK, there can be several possible reasons reasons for the missing HRV data:

    • Too much movement during the sleep (HRV cannot be taken reliably with the optical sensor when you move). Verify the "restlessness" on the Sleep graph whether higher values correspond to the gaps in the HRV data. Unfortunately, the Sleep graph has no more the option to show the movement during sleep, as it still had a few months ago. That would be much better.
    • Bad fit of the watch - too tight or too loose wristband may prevent the HRV reading.
    • Restricted blood flow in the arm wearing the watch - for example because you lay on the arm, have it under a pillow, or under a partner. Another common reason is a peripheral vasoconstriction due to the sleep apnoe or another health issue, or due to the cold. You could try attaching the watch to the ankle for the night - it may help, but it may be also even worse.
  • I’ve had excellent overnight data for months. Now consistently for 10 days I have massive gaps in HRV data yet full HR data. I can’t think my sleep patterns are to blame.

  • I just upgraded from Fenix 6x pro to Epix pro 51 mm last week. Never had any gaps in either HRV or stress graph on that watch. On my new Epix pro I've noticed gaps every night on HRV and also gaps on the stress curve. Must be a software bug. Hope it will be fixed asap...

  • This metric ruins the Garmin Coaching too.

    • All the updates were completed prior to my issue, but only after a restart of the watch am I getting a complete HRV dataset.
  • same for me on Epix Gen 2 13.22.

There are a lot of missing data points in the last few days.

Last consistent HRV recording was on June 16.
