In my EPIX 2 I only have 12GB available, TopoActive maps occupy 20.5GB.
I'm only interested in the map of Italy, is there a way to download only this one?
I do trail running.

For Garmin provided maps, no. But Europe is divided into three parts that you can choose one of, if you plug the watch into PC and use Garmin Express
OpenTopoMap has nice graphics, but name ot the mountains are not shown in most zoom levels. if you need this, try this: downloads.andrehotzler.de/.../
Go to Talkytoaster. Look at their maps. Italy should not be really expensive. Download it.
Save your Garmin's map on a hard disk for future uses and erase it from your watch and only use the Talky Toaster…
You got a tip jar and a business contact form right below the map files. Not mentioning that you're the owner is just a teeny bit shady if you ask me. Do whatever you want, though.
You're right, I'll stop the project and save the 70 Euro monthly rent for the hardware.
You know, instead of digging in your heels and unboxing the straw man, you could've just added a disclaimer to your original post.
Or, even better, a working link.
I hope you rethink stopping your map project. Your maps were great. They are my favorite alternative to TopoActive, and I am sure I am not the only one. Is it really worth giving up the project just because of a forum troll? I don't think so .
Sweet Lord have mercy. I was just asking for disclosure and the man ends his project for everyone. Give the people back their maps, sir Bumskopf. I apologize. This forum, man... I'm done.
I didn't even criticize your project, I don't use your maps, but they look(ed) good. I only asked for disclosure and I stand by that. Disclosing that you are the owner of the service or website you promote is a common courtesy, even if the content in question is free, since the link also promotes your business. I didn't attack you personally, but thanks for calling me a monkey. I appreciate the professionalism. I wish you all the best.

That what I would do.
Thanks for the recommendation, by the way. Really like the maps.
