How can i install only the maps for italy?

In my EPIX 2 I only have 12GB available, TopoActive maps occupy 20.5GB.
I'm only interested in the map of Italy, is there a way to download only this one?
I do trail running.

For Garmin provided maps, no. But Europe is divided into three parts that you can choose one of, if you plug the watch into PC and use Garmin Express

OpenTopoMap has nice graphics, but name ot the mountains are not shown in most zoom levels. if you need this, try this: downloads.andrehotzler.de/.../

Go to Talkytoaster. Look at their maps. Italy should not be really expensive. Download it.
Save your Garmin's map on a hard disk for future uses and erase it from your watch and only use the Talky Toaster…

Hi, follow this link https://garmin.opentopomap.org/#italy then download the Garmin (1.1G) zip file, then unpack the zip file and you will see the .IMG file. This is the map file for Italy. Plug in your watch to the PC and you can simply drag this map file across and into the Garmin folder. Restart the watch and then choose only this map in the watch map settings. If you want to save more space you can always save your existing map files ( .IMG ) to your hard drive and then delete them and add only the countries you need. you can always copy these files back to your watch when needed. I saved some space by deleting the Golf maps too. Hope this helps

Hi, I found amd followed the following info on another post reagrding golf maps, I backed them up first to my PC before I deleted them, just in case I needed them.

When I deleted them the watch worked fine and I have never downloaded them again.

As with all information found on the internet, proceed with caution. I always keep a full copy of my GARMIN folder backed up to my SSD drive :-)

Meaning of Advertising/Promotion:

Where do you see the profit motive? What does the free download cost the user?
