My Epix 2 Stainless purchased in June 2022 serves me well. However I am a bit bored of it now and tempted to sell it and get the Apple Watch Ultra. THe only thing stopping me is the battery life on the Apple watch ultra. Any thought or opinions ?

I am still weighing the pros and cons of switching from Garmin to Apple and opinions and thoughts help in this decision.
I came from an AW and was in your shoes before switching so I know…
If you are considering the switch I can only assume you're more of a recreational athlete. I simply can't find a compelling enough reason to make the swap from Garmin to apple on any grounds other than…
so what is it you're seeking with this post - ? You want someone to talk you out of it? Someone to agree with you and talk you into it? You just want to state your plans and get reactions? Seems like just…
I think there is no real "right" or "wrong" and I think your question is just right here. That's what forums are there for - to discuss and ask, get new ideas and insights from people all around the world - I use the Internet since 1993 and back then in the usenet / Compuserve etc. days it was never any different - so I don't think it has anything todo with getting attention :-)
In my expereince the Epix has far better training metrics in a *wholistic* system. On the AW you would need 5 different apps, that don't "talk" to each other to accomplish nearly the same and there is no real "hub" that bundles this information. That annoyed me most, when trying out an AW. The Aw of course is a full blown smartwatch, offering a lot of different possibilities, the Epix or any sportswatch from Garmin, Coros, Suunto or Polar can not. I never really used the AW for more than a few weeks (just tested an AW from my son) but I just was not really convinved.
I want to thank everyone who took the time to post and help me with my purchasing decision. Today I went ahead and bought the Apple Watch Ultra and loving it so far. Will put it through its paces and see how it holds up especially with battery life. I am fully invested in the Apple Ecosystem and the Apple Watch Ultra fits right in. I am a casual gym goer and for my needs the AWU seems quite fine for now. Thanks again everyone for your help. Sincerely appreciate it.
Don't forget to post here your thoughts about AW.
Get the app Gymaholic if you go to the gym, it's amazing on the Apple Watch.
"when you have no cellular or wifi, the AW is like a piece of junk"
No, this just shows you have never used a recent Apple Watch.
And we don't care about that junk AW bro.

Not true. How about I drop you off in the middle of a mountain with an apple watch. Lets see how well you can route back to civilization.
Don't worry, he have an iphone 14 with satellite signal. OH WAIT.
