Charger not staying in watch, falling out and is loose

The charger is not staying in the watch. It is totally loose and just keeps falling out.

Anyone else had this problem?

The watch is only 9 months old and will be getting returned as this looks like a major fault to me.

  • Totally agree regarding the 90° USB-C. I also found that rebending of the OEM inner metal shroud (recommended here previously) made the problem go away 100%. I used my fingers and pinched a little at a time. The shroud is made from relatively soft metal and IMO is meant to bend/give, as a sacrificial piece, to avoid damaging the actual watch connection points in the case the cord gets yanked out at an angle.

  • Pinching the metal part with some scissors worked great. it seems the metal on the cable gets a bit loose

  • I've had the same problem with the cable popping off but just used a small pair of needle nose pliers and very slightly squeezed each side of the cable where the metal bits are showing - it brings the small keeper holes into line and the cable works perfectly. Did that for all the cables I'd bought thinking it was the cables but it is just a slight tweak and happy days!

  • I bought a $4 replacement cable on Amazon that fits securely and works perfecty.

  • sorts out the problem in a second.  Poor engineering to start with.

  • Tweezers did the trick for me! Just pinched the metal charging oval on the watch and pinched the metal charging oval on the charger. Made a much better/tighter fit and watch is now charging on it's own :)

  • OMG I can't believe it was this easy, thank you. Over a year of this driving me nuts, was just on the verge of ordering yet another new cable... one quick squeeze with a pair of fine nose pliers and it's fine again <facepalm>

  • Yayy glad to help :) I was thinking the same thing too!
