Garmin Pay will not activate, also watch says that the wallet is not activated

For some reason i can not get Garmin Pay to function, the card is supported, VISA says all is well on their side, and yet everytime i try to add the card ( only card also) it go all well till the moment it tries to get the verification, then a pop up on my iphone says: There was a mistake trying to get the user verification methods, try again or call your bank.

If i try open the wallet on my watch ( with no card detached to it ofc) wallet says it is not activated and i have to activate wallet by the connect app ?

I already disconected renmoved connect, watch etc , but that also not helped, anyone have a sollution ?

Iphone 13 pro max on ios15.6 , epic is also on latest software 8.37

I have exactly the same issue with my new Instinct 2 Solar. The card I’m trying to add to Garmin Pay added to my Epix a month ago without a problem but this time, I get to the stage of sending a verification code and nothing comes through. I have called my bank (it is one of the few supported banks in the UK and I’ve been using the card on the Epix for a month) and they said that they’ve not received any requests from Garmin to send a code. My money is on it being a Garmin problem. Will leave it a week or two and try again.

Understood...i just wanted to be sure that you checked everything as your previous answer was not clear.

Sometimes people tend to think they are right and don't do the extra step to confirm all the variables. This is not your case so can't say anything else...hopefully it's a temporary issue and you will get your card onboard soon.

A miracle happened, i tapped garmin pay again in the connect app, tapped the card that was not able to activate, and suddenly i got 3 choices: get a activation code by sms, get an activation code by mail or call your bank to activate.

Ofc i choose code by sms, and card and garmin pay was activated and it works as i did a payment just also.

So seems somewhere in the line between Garmin and the bank (ics visa) there was no request for activation for some reason. We probable never know if it is Garmins fault or ics visa. but happy that it finally works after 4 days of failings.

It sounds like when you ask for that verification code by sms for other stuff and you wait and wait and nothing...you ask for it again and then you get both the old one and the new one at the same time.

I never got that option in the previous days, that was the weird part. But happy it works now, lets hope i never have to repeat this, hahaha.
