Sleep mode keeps turning back on

Schedule has sleep mode turn off at 8AM. When I wake up before 8, I use the control menu to turn sleep mode off. However minutes later, sleep mode turns back on. Any way to turn sleep mode off without it coming back on?

Our engineers are aware of a concern that may allow the watch to reenter sleep more, if sleep is manually ended before the scheduled end. They are anticipating a software fix for this…

Fenix 7, 16.22 version, still not fixed. Also would be great, if garmin allowed to control manually sleep mode, without auto schedule, so we can decide when to start sleep mode and stop it just with one…

Can confirm on my Epic Pro gen 2 that this issue still exists with fully updated software. I often get up before my sleep schedule and manually turn off sleep mode, but it keeps turning back on.

I think this is a bug in firmware 8.21 as it happens to me too. I haven't noticed it in the morning but I have noticed it in the evening when I've been up later than typical and after the start time I've configured for sleep. I don't see anything to do with Sleep Mode listed as fixed in the 8.35 changelog so I wouldn't be surprised if this continues.

Thanks for the reply. It has been happening to me ever since I got the watch. I mostly posted because I wanted to make sure the Garmin engineers know about the bug. I wish there was a way to just mimic the "do not disturb" condition of my phone so I wouldn't have to set it independently.

For that to happen you need to contact Garmin Support directly.

Has this issue been resolved. I have an Epix Gen 2, firmware version 11.28, and it keeps reverting to sleep mode after a few mins of turning sleep mode off.

I have a Marq 2 and I have the same issue. Doesn't seem to be resolved yet.

Yeah, it's also still an issue on the Epix 2 with firmware 14.36.

I'm having this exact same issue, we are in Firmware 14.68.

This is particularly annoying if you plan to do sports in the morning: you turn off sleep mode, you start an activity and when you are finished... the watch is again in sleep mode!

Please, fix this annoying bug!
