quatix 7 Sapphire vs. Epix 2

Hi,

Thinking about buying Epix 2, but have just seen the newly released Quatix 7. It seems that the Sapphire Edition is basically the same as Epix 2, with the different aesthetics, and couple of extra features not available on Epix. I don't need the extra features (ehm, tides chart on the built-in watch face sounds good, actually), but I like the aesthetics.

The question is: does Epix 2 have something Quatix 7 doesn't have? Would I loose anything by choosing the Quatix over Epix, for the same price?

    what i couldn't find on my Quatix 7 ( that is present on the Epix 2) is health snapshot in glances/widgets. You can perform a test. but the result it will be available only in the connect app on your phone.

    Hi all, after the last updates which includeded Sail, Sail Race and Anchor to regular Fenix7 and Epix2 line, are there still any differences between the Quatix7 amoled sapphire and Epix2 sapphire? 

    When you load alpha firmware in the Quatix, considering it's the same Epix firmware, do you lose Quatix specific watchface?

    No, the watch face is still there.

    How about the Training Readiness and Morning Reports on the Quatix 7?

    All there. If you are comparing the Quatix watch on the Garmin website don't because it hasn't been updated for some strange reason.

    At the present moment, what are the software difference between them? Only 1 watchface?

    Any exclusive activity app left on the Quatix?

    Another question also apply for the Epix. Is the AMOLED screen really a choice for ppl who use the watch for water sports under the strong sun? Does it have enough brightness to be well visible? Cos most smartphones amoled screens are a pain to read under strong direct sunlight.

    Also, can the screen be configured to be always on at full brightness during the activity? Will it overheat the watch or just be inviable for draining the battery too fast?

    Only one watch face.

    Here in Australia i was at the beach yesterday and had brightness set on medium and was fine though nothing well be as good as mip display in direct sunlight.

    As a matter of personal taste, as long as the Quatix also has the standard Fenix watch face (the one marketed for the Fenix 7 Sapphire) I'll be totally fine: I've never been more comfortable with any other watchface in almost 6 years of Fenix(es). Does it?

    No though you can download IT through Qarmin connect IQ.
