What sort of battery life are people seeing. I was seeing 6 days with circa approx 4 hours of activities but now seem closer to 4 days.

It is difficult for me to give any exact numbers since I don't really care, I charge when there is time and the battery won't last 24h including an activity. But his is what I know:
Bit early to tell as only on my second week, but am getting about a 1 week with AOD off, wrist gesture on, 8s timeout, 1/3 brightness, Sleep on, Pulse ox off, DND on for sleep, Battery saver on for sleep…
I experienced 6.5 days with AOD enabled with gestures for General Use and Smartphone my first week using all satellites and an hour activity each day. Since moved to AOD disabled for General Use with gestures…
I get about 10 days of battery life with AOD disabled and just using gesture based.
@UliHe42 - your table is pretty interesting without knowing the underlying settings - it really doesn't help to understand why you are getting 3/4 days per charge.
These watches aren't well optimized for music. And, depending on how you load data with Spotify a sizeable chunk of the battery can be gone before you even start a workout.
They are better optimized for music than most other watches. The only one that is really well optimized is the Apple Watch - but then their estimated battery life for music doesn't include GPS tracking, whereas virtually everyone else specifies Music + GPS (so battery life will be lower).
Considering that most other watches give anywhere between 4-7hrs of continuous GPS + music - not sure why you feel the Epix doesn't do well on battery life when tracking and playing music.
Loading - yes it takes a chunk of battery but then so does every watch - especially if you try to do through bluetooth - it is also why all watches recommend doing something like that when you are charging (also why it only checks your subscription status when on charge).
I don’t use music from the watch. I still run with my phone in a hip band specifically because of the battery hit and lack of music selection. That’s not a feature I would ever use. Plus I like to have the phone in case of an emergency.
I just finished my second major charge cycle since getting the watch. I lost 79% (down to 21%) over 8 and a half days. Battery monitor suggested 2 more days available. I guess that equates to 9 to 10 days of battery life.
I use Gesture (which I fine perfectly acceptable and all that I need);
Sleep mode from 10 pm to 7am with Ultra Low light (Setting more related to minimum use and battery economy and not really sleep time)
Health Snapshot everyday
I have a ton of phone notifications hitting my watch and I spend quite a bit of time monitoring my stats on the watch.
3 Runs for 2.25 hours with All Satellites GPS only for 30 minutes and the rest GPS Only, with Glance at Full Power. Running with Combo Power and HRM Pro
Charging: I put the watch to charge while I had a bath today and in 30 minutes it gained 46%. After my run tomorrow, I plan on doing another charge during my bath that should get me to 100% probably for another 8 or 9 days, not before death but before reaching around 20% again.
That charging cadence is perfect for my use case and I expect as the battery suffers the expected decay over the next few years, I may need to recharge every 5 days and that will be fine.
All in all, it's a far more productive experience over my Fenix 5 which I had to charge every 5 days or so as he battery declined over time.
