Anyone else not getting updates on their weather widget? I’ve already made sure my iPhone has all the permissions and settings correctly. It just doesn’t update.

So I've been noticing that it does update, but only once per hour and there is no way to force it to update. That is way too long of an interval. It should be updating more often then that. maybe every…
I had the same problem I have the epix since few days,so still at the first charge and few run therefore I had no much time to play with it. At the beginning the meteo widget was working properly. Then…
You should only need to get a GPS signal once to get weather working provide everything else is set correctly.
Weather comes from the phone, which gets its weather from a nearby weather station. Whether…
There must be a bug using IOS then that is preventing it from updating sooner causing stale data.
How do you know it updates every 20 minutes?
I've been consistently checking it, and as from now still 20 minutes intervals.
Also you can check the weather app when it was last updated.
Garmin’s weather data sucks. The temperature has been wrong by as much as 20* F, and never correct when I’ve wanted it, over the past two weeks. I’ve done all the things the support article demands, and it’s still wrong.
76* here now, but Garmin says it’s 73*—it’s been 73* since 10:30 am, all through the sunny, cloudless day that everyone else recognizes took us to 83*, but not Garmin! Nope! 73.
What’s a good glance for daily use, because I’ve no interest in keeping a weather glance that lies to me.
Though I will bring this up again. I run iOS16 on iPhone 13. Most of the time my weather widget says "Waiting for data". It also seems that on the iPhone it is expected that the Garmin App runs all the time, i.e. you cannot swipe and kill it. It must run in the background. Even if the setting is set to allow running in the background. If it is not running - I do get notifications but the weather widget says: "Waiting for connection".
I was experiencing similar behavior until I set Location to "Always" in the Connect app settings on my iPhone 13 Pro (now running iOS 16.0.2).
set Location to "Always" in the Connect app
This is the key. Running in the background is not the same as using the app. The default setting in iOS is 'When Using' so make sure it's set to 'Always' for GCM and that should rectify the problem.
Hmmm..tx all - last night changed the App to "Always" and still this morning the Garmin weather Widget is not working. Still says "Waiting for data"
