How come no Tides app? Does Garmin have to update its own apps for the new epix?

Same boat as you....figured for sure the EPIX2 would have the tides, if the Instinct Solar Surf (Gen 1) had it.  I actually replaced the Instinct Surf with the EPIX and didn't bat an eye that the Tides app wouldn't be compatible.  I'm assuming its just a matter of time before they revise the app to work with EPIX.  

Side note:  have you ever gotten the wind & waves app to function correctly?   I think only one time has it actually worked, every other time it tries to load the data then pops up:  Timeout -- The server is busy.  Please try again later.

Missing tides too on my new Epix Sapphire...  always used it on my "old" Fenix 6x Pro...

Would be good to have. I had used another tides widget on my 5X.

Yeah I always thought the top of the line models would have everything the lower models do, but I'm learning that's not the case with Garmin. I'm also hoping they update Tides for the Epix. Surfline does work on it, but I'd really love the Garmin Tide data. Thanks for confirming I'm not crazy LOL

Yes, they do. When it comes to ConnectIQ Garmin sits in the same boat as everyone else and is using the same SDK. All apps needs to be updated to support new devices. Depending on complexity this can be anything from a simple checkbox change to major changes in code.

It is only a question of time until the Tides app will support Epix. 

Garmin updated the tides app at 16. Februar 2022, but F7/Epix2 series support is still not available. So wrote to the developers via CIQ store tides app side!

I also sent a message through "Contact Developer" in the App store.  Fingers crossed!

Any news about this application for my Garmin Epix 2 ? Do not understand why this application is not available for the last Garmin watches. Regarding the tides information on garmin surf, this is not complete and useful.  Garmin, help please
