Others with Audio dropouts using Beats Fit Pro’s and Epix 2?

That something I forgot to add to my note above; I have had the same results when using Amazon Music and locally stored media. The one thing I have not been able to test is lower bitrate ( <256kb/s ).

I just tested indoors with the Beats Fit Pros and listened to a 46 minute long podcast (fw 8.21 installed). The results were just a very few tiny hiccups / glitches and not a single disconnect. A few weeks ago (I think I was on fw 8.18) I listened to podcast indoors for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes with the exactly same results (the headset was also Beats Fit Pro). So I do think – in my case – that the hiccups / disconnect problem only occurs outdoors.

I moved around the house and did some work in the flat while listening to podcast so I was not "stationary" while listening.

How does one make sure they have the right software version

when I use garmin connect, I have it set for auto update

On the watch: Settings -> System -> About

It says 7.35

its set to auto and says no updates so how do I install a version that will fix this?

There isn't a version that will fix this, unfortunately. Its a lottery.

I'm not sure which conditions are critical but the watch, ideally, should be paired with a phone and connected to WiFi. If you aren't seeing a prompt to update, something is no connecting to Garmin and getting that information. Echoing StooopDog, updates to the latest version did not help me resolve this issue.

I can confirm that I have the same problem. I go running with my epix gen. 2, using Airpods Pro for audio. I always leave my phone at home.

The problem is, in my opinion, quite major.Since february 2022, I've logged 60 runs and I don't remember when was the last time I ran 20 minutes without Airpods Pro disconnecting while running.  

Sometimes simple reconnect help, sometimes watch freezes when reconnecting to airpods, sometimes watch even restarts itself.

With confidence I can say, that every run Airpods disconnect. Yes, literally every time I run. Sometimes once, sometimes (when running more than 1 hour) even twice. It's annoying. In february/march it was better, but since April the disconnecting issue is quite severe. More with the fact, that the watch cost 1000 euro in my country.

Apart from disconnecting problem, it's a great watch and I love it. But to have headphones disconnected every run, oh my, it's so annoying.
