Any ladies have the epix yet?

I want to see photos on a tiny wrist. I am coming from a smaller fenix 6S and I'm worried the Epix will be huge. I just ordered the Sapphire White Titanium. I mean, I'm keeping it anyway because it just looks gorgeous and I'm sure I'll get used to the size. I also have a 945 so it can't be bigger than that, right?

I think the cases are the same size, but the visible screen size is bigger on the epix at 1.3". The 945 and the 6S both have a smaller 1.2" visible screen. So I'm looking forward to having more to look at.

My wife has a fenix 6S and is on the fence. We have an epix I purchased for either of us to try, but as it stand now, we are going with the fenix 7S for her and the fenix 7X Solar for me.

Her complaint is two fold for not going with the epix: 1) it's bigger and she really doesn't like that as much as she wants to....but the screen= pretty! But it basically behaves like an apple watch and is actually buggy. Some watch faces (built in from Garmin, like the "Productive" watch face doesn't fade when always on and turns to black. It's a bug I am sure, but that is our favorite watch face. 2) The cost difference for her is not worth it.

I was on the fence prior to them coming out but now that I have had a couple of days to play with both, I still prefer the fenix over epix.

even with AOD, if your wrist is totally still for some number of seconds the watch will go black. However, the gesture is really accurate as long as you have your wrist properly set in user profile.

I think I'll be ok with the size since I also have a 945. They've started making the case sizes smaller since the fenix 6 in relation to the screen size so it shouldn't feel as big on me as my 945 but I will welcome the bigger visible screen size. I am hoping the beautiful screen will make up for the bigger size overall. Thanks for your input!

It shouldn't go black...it should go to the standby AOD that is less bright and with less info(using the Venu 2 as reference).

If it's going completely black then the AOD is not active or the watchface is bugged as the other user said.

This is incorrect, unfortunately. Garmin states that the screen will turn off if the watch remains still for 60 seconds when in AOD mode.

A small movement will instantly turn it back on.

True, the screen is only one-tenth of an inch (2.5 mm) smaller on the 6S but the case size is 5 mm larger on the Epix 2. Larger battery I guess. I'd like to know the effective cutoff size for wrists. I suspect it's around 15-16 cm.
