Enduro 3 Battery Life

I have been using my new Enduro 3 for just under a week now.  Previously I'd been using a Fenix 7x Pro Sapphire Solar.

With the same usage pattern, the Enduro 3 is using about 5% battery per day, whereas the Fenix 7x Pro used about 4%.  Even though the battery percentage ends up lower at the end of the day on the Enduro 3 than the Fenix 7x Pro, the predicted number of days remaining is still much higher on the Enduro 3.

I'm interested to know how others are finding the battery life on the Enduro 3, but so far, if the reported battery percentage is to be believed, I'm fairly disappointed with the battery life on the Enduro 3.  If the reported battery life is incorrect and the remaining days is correct then it's awesome and I'd be very happy with that.

Is anyone else in a position to comment on their experience with battery life on Enduro 3 as compared with Fenix 7x Pro?

  • There is a battery monitor app I have installed from iq store. It tells you how much you are losing per hour/day/week etc and then based on that gives you a remaining days amount. HOWEVER........The remaining days amount is VASTLY different to Garmins. Right now Garmins is showing 12 days for me but the battery monitor which I am inclined to believe is showing half of that at just under 6 days.

I don't think Garmins day estimate is anything more than their advertised battery estimates i.e. they advertise 36 days so when your battery is at 50 percent it shows 18 days.

  • I can confirm that with the beta firmware the battery life is much much better. Before I had to restart the enduro after an activity to stop the battery drain .

  • Ok so similar to Fenix 7x etc. Disappointing but I don't think the battery is that bigger in the Enduro 3, so makes sense

  • Latest beta 11.84 - 6 to 7 percent a day, light activity. I am using a CIQ watchface though as I can't stand the Garmin ones and I know they consume a little more battery which I am ok with. There is no way anybody is getting the advertised battery life as far as I can see which is disappointing, not much better if any than my 7X PRO SS. The youtube reviewers stated battery life was as per Garmins estimates but that was GPS use estimates not non GPS daily drain which is the issue in my opinion.

I'll be looking at 15 to 20 days at best with my usage which I am ok with, still a great watch but yes a little disappointing.

I will say the solar is MUCH improved, my watch only has to see a glimpse of the sun and it starts registering Lux hours. My 7X PRO SS was next to useless in that regard.

Unless there is some serious software optimizations in the pipeline this is as good as it is going to get I think.

  • I too have a battery logging activated.  I was told to drain the battery to under 10% and then they'll take the information to figure out what's going on.  They say the more users that do this the more the engineers can gather the information for the fix.  It's frustrating this is happening with a brand new watch though.  I'm averaging a loss about 9.5% a day with no activities for a total estimate of 10.5 days before being fully drained.  Definitely disappointing...

  • I got my Enduro 3 and immediately I filled it with full charge and started monitoring the battery life

I have been using it in a regular day to day usage in addition working out in the gym "indoors" 4 days a week..... I tried the GPS and maps only for ~ 4min run outdoors just to test it

After EXACTLY 20 days, the battery life was showing 2 more days left and out of nowhere while working out in the Gym the watch died without even a "low battery" warning

This was a huge disappointment for me especially that it happened in the middle of my workout..... I am even thinking about returning it

That seems to align with other comments in this thread though but my biggest disappointment is that it did not even give a battery low signal

Do you guys know how to report this to Garmin?

  • Do you guys know how to report this to Garmin?

Through their website at https://support.garmin.com. Use the Phone or Chat options for an instant response. Email exchanges usually take a few days.

  • Just charged mine for second time yesterday. I am not using activities at all now. Brightness on 2, no phone connected (off) no wifi , refresh 8 secs screen i think, minimum. so I charged it yesterday from 2 pm to 4 pm how garmin is saying to 100% did not use the watch no on my hand until 19:30 and then 21:00 in bed. When I woke up 2 % 9 am 3% drain 97% one quick sync no it is saying 36 days but the watch is on minimum I do not even look at it. I will post later about the activities Idk is this normal ? latest update
