It is a bug already reported on Fenix 7/Epix 2 software and was fixed in 20.xx software release.
It is annoying that Garmin developers obviously don't talk one to another because issue is known and they just should fix it before this release.

The missing part is exactly at the area that shows battery percentage, battery estimation, and "options". It seems that when it goes back to fullscreen some graphical glitch happens and the top placeholder stays instead of showing the map
It's probably the same devs. If this bug exists in 20.xx of course it would exist in an older iteration that we got.
As far as I know, this bug related to MAP was fixed in 20.XX version.
My point is, why do a release on older version, especially that 20.16 is now LIVE, just delay new release and do it on newer version.
I know it takes time, but at the end saves it.

I have the same issue once I updated. I deleted maps and reloaded them and still this issue occurs.
I submitted photos of my MK3 having same issues after 19.49 update. This is the 3 rd time I have map issues when I update. Garmin has all the records.

Judging by how long it took them to fix the SAC issue, I wouldn't hold my breath. It will be fixed when the next update comes (in a couple months or so?) and only if they actually understood the issue.
